,

It’s Monday again….

So this past weekend went by incredibly fast! Wow!
We got some things done around the house, though. We finally got some nice blinds for Jacey’s room, and got them up. They look really nice, too! 🙂
I also got my “family” sign up in the foyer, that doubles as a key holder. It looks good in there, I must take a picture! 😉

I also just realized that I already have everything I need to make the lantern craft I wanted to make. I have jewelry wire that I can use for the lanterns, so I made one last night to see how easy it would be. I even strung a few beads on, to add something extra! 😉 It’s really cute.

This is the craft I’m talking about. My cousin sent it to me in an e-mail, and it’s such a neat idea!

LANTERN DELIGHTS
Clean 4- 6 ounce baby food jars.

Materials
6 to 12 clean baby food jars
Spool of fine-gauge wire (not plastic coated)
6 to 12 votive candles

Directions
1. For each jar, cut a piece of wire 40 to 50 inches long. Vary your lengths so your finished lights can hang at different heights.
2. Bend a wire in half to form a V-shaped handle for the jar. Hold the bent wire over a jar so 6 to 10 inches of the V extends above the jar for hanging. Wrap the rest of the wire around the threads of the jar mouth.
3. Twist each end of the wire around the V-shaped handle to fasten the wire securely. Pull tight.
4. Place a votive candle in the jar, light, and hang!

A friend, Darla & I are gonna make these together soon. I need to get something to clean off the little bit of sticky on the jars, still. I also saw where you can use aluminum sheets, and punch out stars in them, and wrap them around the jars. Sounds really pretty, huh!? 🙂
