**Glucose Testing** Weight: 157.9**
My appointment went well yesterday. I had to do a glucose test, where I drank a sweet orange drink, then they tested my blood an hour later. If I passed, I won’t hear anything from them, but if not, they’ll let me know. I’m sure I’ll pass, but I always worry about these things. If I failed it, then I’ll have to do a 3 hour glucose test, and I don’t want to do that. Fasting, and no eating or drinking for 3 hours…….how will I survive? LOL! *lol*
Anyways, I heard the baby’s heartbeat, and all is well. My doctor said her head was already really low! So I guess she has flipped already….but there’s still time for her to move around, ya know. I knew she had to be pretty low, because I have been feeling those low jabs in my cervix *ouch* lol!
The nurse gave me a goody bag at this visit, too. A diaper bag filled with all sorts of things, and my registration form as well. My next appointment is in 2 weeks. Wow, we are getting close! My appointment’s were a month apart, and now they’ve jumped to 2 weeks apart. I can hardly believe I am 2/3 of the way through this pregnancy! *wink*
As for my fibroid, the doctor will take another look at it, via ultrasound in the next few weeks. I believe she said somewhere between week 30 and 32. She wants to make sure it’s not growing so it won’t block the baby’s head coming down during labor & delivery. I did ask her if it’s possible for it to cause me pain when the baby pushes against it, or kicks it, and she confirmed that it could. There have been a few times where it would just really ache on that (right) side, and I had a feeling that it was because of that. It definitely doesn’t feel good! She said that if the baby pushes against it, it could cause it to block blood flow to it, and thus cause the pain. So anyways, that’s that. I just hope it doesn’t get worse (the pain) the bigger the baby gets. *ill*
So….my appointment was good! I have started taking an over the counter iron supplement because my hemoglobin levels were a little low as well. I had a feeling they were, and I mentioned it to her last visit (before this one) and they checked (and it was). No biggie, it was the same when I was pregnant w/ Jacey in my 3rd trimester, and it was made better by taking an iron pill daily. *wink*
Tomorrow I will be 27 weeks along! *WOW* We’re getting there! *grin*
