The playroom

Family

It’s all coming together and getting better organized. I bought a chalkboard for the wall a couple of days ago at Hobby Lobby. Unfortunately I am not very pleased with it. It’s not actually slate, and the chalk doesn’t write very well on it. Grrrr! I guess I never thought there were “real” chalkboards and cheap ones. So, I was thinking that maybe I can buy some chalkboard paint and paint over it. I was going to paint the frame on it white, anyways…so why not paint the chalkboard itself-and hope that it improves it! I hear chalkboard paint is great, so I figure I should give it a try. They even have chalkboard spray paint. 🙂 The chalkboard wasn’t expensive to begin with and the paint isn’t really either, so what do I have to lose? Anyways…I want to take a few more pics of the playroom before it gets trashed today…lol! My girls have a way of making a mess–hehe–as I’m sure all kids do! LOL! 😀

On a side note-right now it is -29 outside! BRRR!!!

    Hi Sandy. I think its wonderful that you have the girls playroom done. The chalkboard thing can be fixed with that chalkboard paint I believe. It’s worth a try. Or have you thought about returning it and getting another?

    I must admite that I had a horrible empty feeling when I saw the playroom. I worked sooo hard on Vanessa’s play room. It was beautiful with bean bags and bins and a princes tv and a little table and all sorts of stuff. It was really amazing. I put so much work into it but she barely got to use it because her dad and I separated right when she learned how to walk. I don’t know if she’ll ever have one again.

    I hope your kids enjoy it. Keep the pictures coming. They always brighten my day
