We had quite the fun day! We started it off at Chahinkapa Zoo about 40 minutes out of Fargo in a town called Wahpeton. It was great seeing all of the animals that our zoo here in town doesn’t have.
See us in our 4th of July colors! 🙂

The snow leopards were my favorite! (I have ALWAYS loved cats!)

It was a hot day, though! After we got home, the girls played in the pool & in the sprinkler, and enjoyed popsicles. After a bit, we went and picked up some small fireworks, and later that evening sat outside while Jace lit some up. I’m a little leary about fireworks, but I wanted the girls to see sparklers and have a good time watching a few. (from a safe distance!) 😉

As it got darker, the clouds came in & were very dark. The tornado siren came on, and the storm began. Just some lightning & a little rain. The storm wasn’t as nearly as bad as I thought it would be, and lasted only a few minutes. It kind of went around us. (Thank God). 🙂
Jacey said to me the next day, “Mom, I prayed and asked God to make the storm go away, and it did!” 😉

It was a good 4th. We didn’t have big plans, but it was big fun! 😀
