1st day of 1st grade!

Today is Jacey’s 1st day of school. She is so excited about 1st grade, and I am excited for her.
This is a pic I took this morning as we were about to leave. She is getting so big!

She said she was nervous, but when we got there, it was like I wasn’t even in the room…LOL! We went to “Back to school night” a couple of nights ago, and found out that she has lots of friends she already knows in her class. Both of our neighbors are in her class, several kids from her kindergarten class are in class with her this year, and a few other kids that she knows–either from Awana, or from the neighborhood. Isn’t that something!? I’m sure that makes her day easier. 😉

Oh-and here’s a photo of Jacey on back to school night in front of her locker. (Yes, 1st graders have lockers!) When you think about it, it’s a great idea though! Also makes for less “clutter” in the classroom…like winter gear, boots, etc.

So school has officially started! I’m going to miss having Jacey at home with me during the day. I guess Summer is over.
Jadyn starts preschool in a week and a half. She will go 2 days a week-for 3 hrs a day. She is so excited about it, too! 😀

I think I am ready for fall, though. Cooler weather, and all of the fun activities that come with it!
