The Weekend…

This weekend went by really fast! It was a good one, though. Yesterday (Saturday) we headed over to church for Jace & Jacey to practice for the Christmas play. Jace is going to be the narrator and Jacey will be in the kids choir & possibly have a speaking part. I say possibly, because we are hoping she won’t be too shy to have a part. She has been offered a part, and may even be Mary (she was asked if she would like to be Mary). She does really well with being on stage singing, but has never been in a play with a speaking part in front of lots of people before..LOL!
I am hoping she decides to do this and really SHINES at it. My little girl is so talented!
Jadyn will also be a part of the show…singing with the other preschoolers. She is so very excited!!! 😀 I can hardly wait to see my girls on stage (and hubby too)! It is so exciting that they will be a part of the telling of the Christmas story!

Today after church we had a baked potato meal w/ all of the toppings and dessert. Today was “Eye on your neighbor”. A coming together and getting to know better the newest members of Metropolitan Baptist, which included us! It was a lot of fun…lots of good food and fellowship! We got to know a little more about some of the newer members, and they got to know a little more about us. It was a good time….a great weekend!

By the way….can you believe it’s almost NOVEMBER already? I am already getting into the Christmas spirit. I picked up 2 Christmas music cd’s at the thrift store today. My girls love Christmas music–just like I do! Jacey really loves the Christmas orchestra music. One of the ones I picked up today was the Trans Siberian Orchestra and the other was (I forget exactly the name of it, but it is) Harp music (SO beautiful!)
