For me & my family, we stay busy doing fun things like baking and crafts. My kids love those things, and they also happen to be a necessity during the winters here with our blizzards and snow days. It gets really cold here, so we always have some indoor activity planned when its too cold to be outside.

Some great ideas to keep busy are:
Making your own Christmas ornaments. Whether you make them from paper or salt-dough, they are always a lot of fun.

Baking cookies and/or bars. Christmas-time and even just winter-time are both a great time to make all sorts of great cookies. Snowman cookies, peppermint cookies, there are so many that you can make!

Christmas music! Just listening to it, puts you in that happy, festive holiday mood!

Another thing that we do in our family are donate to those in need. Our church has different programs where you can help families in the community that are in need. This year we are buying a complete Christmas dinner for a family who might otherwise not be able to afford it. Check out the food banks in your community, or local stores. Lots of them collect donations for those who need them. It’s a great way to get your children involved in helping others. It will put a smile on their face knowing they are making someone else smile.

Spread holiday joy this season. Spend quality time with your family, help others and have fun! KRE-O can help with those get-togethers…by keeping the kids (and adults) entertained.
