Lubbock?

I had never heard of Lubbock, Texas and knew little about Texas Tech before my husband matched there for his residency in March. All I knew was that it was dry weather, a small college town, and in West Texas. He had visited during the interview process, but I was working and was not able to go. He really liked the program and decided to rank it. We moved to Lubbock at the beginning of June. It was actually a much smoother transition than I anticipated. I was able to do everything on-line before our move. Other residents at the school gave us some apartment complex suggestions. I logged onto www.ShopElectricityRatesTexas.com to set up our electricity and set up all of the other utilities on-line except for water and trash (the city is responsible and still hasn’t moved to on-line set up). The only thing that was not smooth about the move was the fifteen hundred mile drive in a twenty-three foot Uhaul, pulling my husband’s car! I would move again because home set up is so easy, but the actual physical moving process is a nightmare!
