A [free] day at the zoo! [6-01-12]

I love free days at our local zoo. Of course I love the whole “FREE” part, but it’s also another fun activity to do with the kids. They love going to the zoo. I have to say that our local zoo here is pretty small. Not like the Minnesota Zoo or even the Dakota Zoo in Bismarck 2.5 hours away. It doesn’t have tigers or bears or anything, but it still can be fun!

We had a great time there. The girls love running around and playing in the park there, and burning off that energy. Oh, while we were there, this pretty peacock put his feathers on display for us.

Of course we saw the camels (yes, camels in North Dakota), a couple of monkeys, the wolves, and all of the other usual animals that they have there. It was pretty packed that day, there were tons of people everywhere! Even as busy as it was, it was still not too overcrowded, and was fun! 😀
