We’ve done our fair share of decorating (and baking) gingerbread houses. When the girls’ grandma & grandpa D were here a couple of weekends ago, they bought a gingerbread house kit while we were at Costco. Grandma thought it would be a fun project for her and the girls to do together. (Jace & I had our date night!) 😉

Here is the finished house! Oh, and since when do they put fondant in gingerbread house kits? I don’t remember that ever being in those kits. I guess it depends on which kit you buy. 🙂

Gingerbread House

Then, just last Sunday evening, our church had our annual Gingerbread House event. Everyone brings a house that they made or bought, and decorates together. It’s a fun activity for the kids and adults alike! The church supplies frosting and candy, and on this night even supper was served! Everyone who attends also brings 2 bags of candy to share, which equals a LOT of candy! Here are a few pics!

Jace & Jacey worked on the train together, and even made train tracks!

I actually baked the house you see below, that Jadyn & I decorated together. {I had a mold for a gingerbread house.} 😀
