Hello friends! Just wanted to share a few more beauties in my butterfly island. It is full of color and looking so pretty. I want to enjoy them as long as possible, because before you know it fall will be here, and the blooms will fade away. 🙂
And here are the sunflowers, almost ready to bloom!
Funny thing about these sunflowers. I bought a pack of seeds to fill in a space in my butterfly island {where a previous plant didn’t make it through the winter.}
I purposely bought dwarf sunflowers, thinking, “Hey, these are small ones, so they should be perfect for the space.” Um, no. These things have gone on a crazy growing spree! Check them out:
This pic was taken a few days ago. They have grown even taller. They are covering a couple of other plants that need sun..LOL!
Okay, yes, I should have realized that there are a gazillion different types of sunflowers, and should have chosen more wisely. Oops!;)
I am actually really excited to see them in full bloom. They are going to be so pretty–I can hardly wait! 🙂
