Confessions of a Prodigal Son – The Movie {My thoughts}

I had the opportunity to see in advance the new film”Confessions of a Prodigal Son.”
This movie is about a son who has lost his way, who has endured hardships and troublesome times, but eventually finds his way back to his family and embraces the faith that he ran away from. It stars Kevin Sorbo who is really great in this movie, by the way! He plays the dad, who is a pastor. His son, Shawn plays “The Prodigal Son.” The son that has rebelled, and left home because he wants to live and discover life in his own way.

I actually really liked this movie a lot. It isn’t super long but the story doesn’t seem rushed, either. It is a totally relatable, faith based film that anyone would enjoy. It makes me really happy to see films like this being made. There is so much negativity in the world, and in movies. We definitely need more positive role models for kids and teenagers and more family friendly films. This one has a great story to tell. Once I turned it on, I sat at my computer and watched it all. I had a couple of breaks in between due to kids, and the UPS truck, haha…but it really grabbed me. Made me want to watch. I think you’ll enjoy it!

“Confessions of a Prodigal Son” is due out in stores on March 24th, 2015. So be sure to look for it! 😀
