What I think:

“The Story for Kids” is like the Bible, but being told as a story–like a chapter book. I like this because is told in a way that kids can understand, but still being true to the Bible. It is easily understandable and engaging.
However, I am a bit disappointed to see black & white artwork inside and not full color. I feel that full color illustrations would add a lot more to this book. Especially when there are similar type books out there that have colorful illustrations. The cover of this book is gorgeous, and I was expecting to see more inside. Don’t get me wrong, the illustrations are great, I just wish they were in color. 😉

The rundown:
This is a great book to get kids interested in the stories of the Bible. I would recommend it for sure. I feel that as long as a book is true to the Bible, regardless of artwork or what have you, then it is a great learning tool for kids to learn more about God.

Sounds like a great book for those who follow. We don’t follow religion but I know quite a few families who do, and they’d love this!
