Right around spring time every year, I start thinking about getting myself a “tan.” In the Spring and Summer, I love to have a little color on my skin. I am super pale. I don’t normally mind so much, except when the warmer weather rolls around, I like to have that tan glow when wearing tank tops and shorts. I also never step into a tanning bed. {I don’t want to put my skin through that!} Why would you want to anyway, when you can tan so easily in other, healthier ways!?
I have tried many products and do have a favorite, but I wanted to try something new this year. When I got the opportunity to review Self Tanning Towelettes by Thermalabs, {with the golden tan girl on the box} I had to give it a try! I mean, seriously…look at her glow! 😉
This is the first time I have used a self tanner in a towelette form. The first time I tried this, I applied it to my entire body. For me, it wasn’t as easy to do as using a self tanning lotion. After a few hours I definitely noticed my skin had a “tan.” It was a really pretty color, but I did have a bit of streaking. I am new at using towelettes, so this could be error on my part. I also recommend wearing gloves when applying. I washed my hands thoroughly a couple of times (scrubbed them) to make sure no tanner was left on my palms after applying to my body. I still had brown hands, regardless.
The second time I used them, I used them on my legs only and was more careful to do so. I also wore a pair of tight fitting gloves–so there would be no slipping. This time around, the results were MUCH better. No streaks and no brown hands! This is the way it should be applied…with gloves and with great care. Other than that–the color was really nice. Not orange, but a really pretty tan. 🙂
Would I buy these? I’m not so sure that the towelette style is for me. They are pretty easy to use on your legs for a fast and easy tan, but it gets a bit tricky when applying to the whole body. Again, it could be just me. I’m sure it is a matter of preference. The color that develops is a really nice pretty color for sure. If you prefer a self tanning towelette, over a lotion or spray, then these are great. You will love them!

I do want to add that the drying time is super fast! Faster than a lotion for sure.
