Over the weekend while we were out shopping for our home & garden, the girls and I chose a few plants that we really liked. I chose the hybrid aloe vera. I LOVE aloe vera, I am always drawn to it. The girls have always loved cacti {or cactuses—whichever you prefer…} 😉
I really like them, too! They each chose one. Jacey chose the super prickly one, and Jadyn chose the one with pink blooms on it.

I did some planting of herbs as well, in a different way this year. Mason jars–with glass pebbles on the bottom for drainage.

Parsley, Cilantro & Rosemary

I also planted Chamomile, Chives and Lemon Balm {in another container–not shown}

I love growing herbs and can hardly wait until I can use them.
I found the Mason Jar idea on Pinterest. I always have mason jars on hand for whatever project or craft I want to do. I normally find them at the thrift store. It is a great place to find things like that for super cheap. 🙂
