I love this time of year. The time of pumpkin this and pumpkin that….pumpkin everything–haha!
I found a recipe online recently for pumpkin spice play dough. It was a little different than my usual play dough recipe, but it looked great—so I had to try it. The secret to this recipe? Coconut Oil! Check it out!
Ingredients:
1 cup flour
1 cup water
1/4 cup of salt
1 tablespoon coconut oil
2 teaspoons cream of tartar
2 teaspoons pumpkin pie spice (or a mixture of cinnamon/nutmeg/cloves)
Directions:
Combine all ingredients (except for coloring) in a large pot.
Stir over medium heat until a big ball forms. {no longer sticky}
Remove from pot and allow to cool until the dough can be worked by hand.
Divide the dough into however many different colors you want.
Work the colors into the dough by adding a few drops at a time and kneading.

We left one as is, color-wise, {brown} and for the other 3, I used yellow, red, and green food coloring.
Careful though, or your hands can get pretty colorful! 😉
This was super easy and turned out great! It smells so good–and my girls really loved it! 😀
