Chronicles of the Host: Exile of Lucifer {Book Review}

As the Lord's Chief Angel of Worship, Lucifer glories in creating music and words of praise exalting the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, but his pride demands he be recognized as better than the other angels. When his old friends Michael and Gabriel are promoted to archangel status, Lucifer turns his attention to being named steward of the Lord's latest wonder, the Creation, and he won't let anyone stop him not even an insignificant pest called man.

This book's release was in 2002, but somehow I hadn't heard of it until this summer. A blog friend mentioned this series, and I was intrigued. I had to look it up and see what it was all about.

I normally read non-fiction books on theology, but also love to read books that are fiction, yet have a story that is Biblically based. They interest me quite a bit, and when I find books like that-I have to read them. 🙂

That brings me to this book: Chronicles of the Host: Exile of Lucifer.
We've heard how in the beginning Lucifer was one of the brightest, most beautiful Angels in Heaven, his downfall, and what has happened since. How did Lucifer get to the point of no return? I've often thought about how it happened and how it went about. When this book came along, I was really interested in reading a "story" about it. Yes, this book is fiction, but it really makes you think. It tells a story about how it could have possibly happened. It gives you a "behind the scenes" look-if you will, pre-Earth.

I thought the book was well written, and it really kept me interested. I actually took this book on our family summer vacation to read during our down time, and ended up finishing it, then ordering the next in the series online while still on vacation. 😀

This book is interesting, it is intriguing, and will really have you thinking. I don't want to give away too much, or make this review way too long. Just a grab a copy for yourself. It will be hard to put down, for sure! 😉
